CIVIC AND CULTURAL

Designing civic projects is like creating the social framework of a community. Our communal buildings define the flow of our lives, how we interact with our neighbors and fellow citizens. These buildings help define the terms of our interactions in the public sphere. “Connecting with the building’s users functionally, culturally, and spiritually is what makes for a successful building that we can all take pride in.” (Glenn Miura, principal.) Whether it’s a library, a museum, a senior center, or a park, our “client” in each case is the community at large.
