Designing buildings, landscapes, and facilities for the hospitality sector is a particularly satisfying arena of architecture, because the aesthetics of the guest’s experience is so crucial to the success of the project. Form can’t take a backseat to function when the project’s function—to give guests a beautiful, pleasurable experience—is so closely linked to its form.

	ENLISTED CLUB Hickam Air Force Base, Oahu, HI The new 22,750 square foot Enlisted Club at Hickam Air Force Base has four major components—a ballroom with a 400-500 person seating capacity, a lounge, a J. R. Rockers Sports Café, and a full-operation kitchen serving the entire facility.
	NAVY LODGE ADAPTIVE RE-USE & HISTORIC REHABILITATION (DESIGN-BUILD) Ford Island, US Naval Station Pearl Harbor, Oahu, HI The Navy Lodge Design-Build project at Ford Island , US Naval Station Pearl Harbor converted a historically significant former BOQ structure (Building 78) to a lodging facility with 55 rooms, lobby, front desk, meeting room, and associated support spaces.

	MAUNA LANI RACQUET CLUB Mauna Lani Resort, Hawaii, HI The Mauna Lani Racquet Club was purposely designed to fit in with the lava-strewn rocky environment created by nearby Mauna Kea volcano, thus it appears as a lush oasis in the midst of a black barren desert.
